A stakeholders meeting held at the Science Museum

Calling the National Science and Technology Museum as a unique center for science education, students, teachers and representatives of various organizations called for strengthening its activities. They made this call at a stakeholder meeting and a seminar on 'Essentiality of Science and Technology Education' at the Science Museum on Wednesday.

In the seminar, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Md. Abdur Razzak said, "If we only deal with technology, stagnation will come, which is why nature and greenness need to be coordinated with technology. In this regard, the science museum is playing a catalytic role.”

He said, "The young generation will lead Smart Bangladesh in the future. That is why the youth should be enriched with science education.”

The Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury said, "The museum is being modernized regularly and the young generation is being encouraged to practice science and innovative spirit on contemporary science including science-based eating habits, environmental protection, prevention of climate change and so on. Social change is not possible overnight merely through technological changes. Along with the technological revolution, one must know and obey the Creator and keep the natural order intact.”

Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology Dr. Emran Hossain, Her Power Project Deputy Director Nilufa Yasmin, Bapex DGM Roshnuzzaman, Women Affairs Directorate Program Officer Raihana Azhar Swarna spoke on theevent among others. Students, teachers and civil society representatives from different educational institutions participated in the event.
